Description
The world’s first single-orchard cherry wine. The cherries are picked exclusively from our best orchard, Nielstrupmark, which was home to the oldest Stevnsbær cherry trees on the Frederiksdal Estate.
The orchard was felled in 2019 when the trees had become too old and fragile.
The wine is stored for 18 months in French oak barrels. Only the best 15 out of the 40 barrels from Nielstrupmark have been selected for the 2013 vintage, with the remainder left to either rest on its lees (sur lie) or undergo further ageing as a reserve wine.
When the bottle is open, the wine can easily last for several month, if it is kept in a cool place.
